Explanation
Assessment | Grading scale |
---|---|
TOTAL | 1-20/20 scale |
The exam of the OPO Dealing with Diversity consists of 2 parts. The first part focuses on diversity and the second part focuses on internationalisation. Part 1 will count for 40% in the calculation of the final result and part 2 for 30%. The remaining 30% of the points are obtained through permanent evaluation by means of assignments linked to the course content.
Part 1: the students participate within a non-profit organization (= fieldwork) in order to gain insight into diversity and its effect in health care. The student takes the responsibility to contact the chosen organization.
The exam assignment consists of making a poster. On the basis of this poster they present their project, make clear what they have actually done and describe their nursing added value to this project.
The student can apply a non-profit organization himself, is after discussion with the student approved or not.
Part 2: here the focus is on internationalisation@home. The students participate in a theme / project, e.g. international days, buddy work for incoming students, ... or follow a refresher course with the emphasis on internationalisation. The student can also make a proposal himself, this will be approved or not after discussion with the student.
The examination assignment consists of an in-depth assignment / reflection report.
