Aims
LEARNING OBJECTIVES :
- Students describe pathologies from obstetric care in primary and secondary care.
- The students explain knowledge and skills on invasive monitoring methods of the pregnant woman
- The students describe ALS including AED of the pregnant woman.
- The students interpret a CTG with and without the STAN
- Students support pregnant women with diabetic and/or pelvic floor problems.
Previous knowledge
The students have preferably obtained a credit for the OPO "Midwifery care in the first and second line - part 1" from phase 2.

Content
- The students acquire knowledge about and insight into situations from obstetric care in the first and second line. The following topics will be discussed:
- Clinical reasoning for postpartum fever
- Thrombo - embolic disorders
- Dermatoses in pregnancy
- Oncological disorders in pregnancy
- Endocrinological disorders in pregnancy
- Import pathology and pregnancy
- Shoulder dystocy
- Drug use during pregnancy.
- Invasive prenatal diagnosis
- Pelvic floor problems
- Capita selecta
- The students develop an attitude and practice skills on cognitive, technical, communicative, multidisciplinary level in situations from obstetric care in the first and second line.
- The students acquire knowledge and skills concerning invasive surveillance methods of the pregnant / maternity woman : ECG, CVD measurement, invasive pressure measurement, cardio-pulmonary surveillance,...
- The students acquire knowledge and skills in fetal monitoring: STAN monitoring,...
- The students recognize and acknowledge diabetes and pelvic floor related disorders during pregnancy

The medical aspects of obstetric care in the first and second line will be explained during Klabs.
During Slabs, students gain insight into the planning and implementation of obstetric care by means of case studies.
During simulation training the students develop skills on cognitive, technical, communicative and multidisciplinary level. Continuous attention is paid to the development of a correct attitude. During these training courses, role-plays with the birth robot are central.
Experience stories by experience experts, including diabetes patients, give the students insight into the experience of the pre-conceptional phase, pregnancy, childbirth and the maternity period.

The various components are questioned in writing in an integrated examination using multiple choice questions. No correction for gambling will be applied.
Restriction of tolerance points :
