Aims
Learning goals:
The student recognizes pregnancy problems.
The student explains the different complaints that can occur during pregnancy.
The student indicates which physiological pregnancy consultation is applicable for the different pregnancy periods.
The student formulates GVO concerning pregnancy related aspects.
Previous knowledge
To be admitted to the first year, candidates must hold a secondary education certificate issued by the Flemish, French or German Community of Belgium. These certificates give access to all forms of higher education. For candidates with only a foreign diploma, a proficiency level of the Dutch language, delivered by a recognized language institute, is required. For information about this, please contact the university college.
The candidate must meet the admission requirements for the degree program in Midwifery that Thomas More stipulates.
The training component (OPO) Physiological Pregnancy builds on the Physiological Postpartum training component in the Midwifery training. However, there is no sequence associated with these two course components.

This Course Unit (OPO) belongs to a learning track (Prenatal) in which the student can only use a maximum of half (9 of the 18 Study Points (SP) of the total tolerance credit. See Education and Examination Regulations (OER) Thomas More.
This OPO contains a strict sequence towards clinical education phase 3, in other words you must pass this OPO with a credit or tolerate it before you can include the OPO Clinical Education phase 3 in the Work Path (VR - Bridge - BaVp).
Information about retaking exams
This course unit does not allow partial mark transfers.
You can resit in Examination period 3 (EP3).
This will take place in August.
All students who did not obtain a credit in EP1 or EP2 can participate in this session/exam.
