Aims
Learning objectives
You interpret and critically examine the nutrition triangle and make the link with diseases of affluence.
You formulate the structure, the digestion and metabolism, functions, properties and applications, sources and recommendations
for the different nutrients.
You explain what a healthy diet means for babies, toddlers, the pregnant and the lactating
Previous knowledge
To be admitted to the first year, candidates must hold a secondary education certificate issued by
the Flemish, French or German Community of Belgium. These certificates give access to all forms of
higher education. For candidates with only a foreign diploma, a proficiency level of the Dutch
language, issued by a recognized language institute, is required. For information about this, please
contact the department.
